The Project

We're Applying Smart Technology

TO SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS, OUR COMMUNITIES AND OUR PLANET THE PROJECT

Tranlin, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Shandong Tranlin Paper Co., Ltd., a world-leading Chinese pulp and paper company that applies innovative proprietary technologies to produce tree-free, unbleached paper products and superior organic fertilizers.

Tranlin is investing two billion dollars to construct a production facility in Chesterfield County, Virginia that will create over 2,000 jobs in the region by 2020. The facility will produce facial and bath tissue, plates and bowls, and napkins made from straw purchased from farmers. These paper products will be tree-free, chlorine-free, compostable, and assembled through an ecologically friendly production process.

Tranlin’s final segment will be a fertilizer derived from the production of paper products. The fertilizer production system begins by breaking down straw into two components, fiber (used to create paper products) and nutrients (used for the production of fertilizer).

This system capitalizes on raw materials by producing a superior fertilizer with a high concentration of both humic and fulvic acids. Tranlin’s fertilizer, which will be sold to commercial properties and the general public, will increase crop yields and improve on the buyer’s ability to produce organic-certified crops.

THE TIMELINE

The first phase of this process will begin at Tranlin's first production facility located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, beginning early 2019.

Tranlin is currently bringing over paper products and fertilizer from its parent company in China for consumers in the United States and is expected to have products available through retailers late 2015.
